Great Whale
Beach !

     the AMBS team
     choose to write
     about
     Great Whale Beach
     on the south side
     of the
     Golden Gate Bridge
     because we had
     such a great time
     on our three trips
     there and the
     mystical nature
     the beach.

     while listed in a
     few magazine as
     a nude beach
     only once in our three
     visits did we see nude
     people on the beach
     and that was at the
     extreme north end of
     somewhat long beach.

     my three favorite
     aspects of Great
     Whale Beach are
     (a1)
     how the beach is
     at the bottom of
     a mountain with
     a lot steps to climb
     to get in and out.

     (a2)
     how beach have a
     cliff aspect,
     parts of the beach
     have steep drops
     of several feet,
     creating areas where
     getting off the beach
     is somewhat hard or
     takes extra effort
     and time

     (a3)
     rock formations on
     the beach north
     end that are.
     completely dry
     one moment and
     the next moment the
     water rises close to
     three feet.

     in my opinion what
     makes the beach so
     mysterious is the
     slight chance of danger
     on the beach.
     with the steep ravine
     (big coastal drop)
     and surrounded by
     mountains with only
     two escapes paths,
     in the event of a
     rouge wave or tsunami,
     the chance of danger is
     real but rare.

     sitting on great whale
     beach, the AMBS team
     witnessed more than
     once, sitting on a rock
     on the beach free of
     water, and a moment
     later a wave comes in
     that put the location
     under three feet of
     water.

     the picture example of
     Great Whale Beach
     shows how beautiful
     the beach is and
     some rock formations
     on the beach in the
     shadow of the big
     mountains to the
     north south and east.

     because of the hills
     and steps, the journey
     around Great
     Whale Beach
     is for the moderately
     (b1)physically fit,
     (b2) young at heart
     and
     (b3) adventure lovers
