     thou hard to find
     in books and web
     pages, highway "1"
     red rock beach
     is a recreational area
     that is special and
     unique in many ways.

     First as the name
     suggest, the red rock
     beach area has some
     special type red color
     rocks that makes the
     landscape and ocean
     along the shore look
     red; a chance to take
     picture that can that
     can only be taken here.

     Second, the area has a
     special outdoor camp-
     ground area with about
     a dozen special cabins
     in a valley in the middle
     of two mountains,
     one high above the
     campground.

     what makes the camp-
     grounds so special are
     its views of the
     (a1) the surrounding
         mountains
     (a2) the surrounding
         ocean and coastline
     (a3) the day and
         night sky.

     being far enough from
     the big city lights,
     the campground offer
     the perfect view of night
     sky to witness
     (b1) meteor showers
     (b2) special full moon
         and lunar eclipse
     (b3) our solar system
         planets when .
         they are in view..

     while being unable to
     spend nights at the
     campgrounds because
     of economics, there are
     dozen of special events
     I wish I could see
     at the red rock
     area like:
     (c1) the meteor showers
     (c2) the planets Saturn
     and Jupiter when there
     (c3) the galaxy
     Andromeda when there.

     with many other things
     to do at the red rock
     recreation area like
     (d1) repelling off a giant
     hill near the ocean
     (d2) walking the long
     trail to get to
     the beach and
     (d3) the long uphill
     climb to get back to
     your vehicle;
     red rock beach by itself
     is a great place for
     relaxing and wading in
     red colored waters.

     for the person with the
     time and money to take
     that rare vacation or
     business trip that is
     unique, red rock beach
     off the highway "1"
     north of the
     golden gate bridge
     is the place to go.
